My Videos

The musicians of THINK Global School received the great opportunity to record their first single at Roundhead Studios, New Zealand’s premiere recording studio based in Auckland. This musical group, called the Vagabond Vibes, performed their original arrangement, a mashup of Ben Howard’s “Only Love” and Rihanna’s “Stay,” with accompaniment of guitar, organ, bass, and drums. The eight-hour session was a thrilling learning experience for all the students, and this music video seeks to encapsulate that energy. The Studios are stunning, decked with gorgeous hard-word floors and high ceilings that make you question the existence of a better and more comfortable place to make music. A special thanks to Roundhead Studios, including Jeremy McPike and Scott Seabright, as well as coordinators Clare Fletcher and Joann McPike.

As part of our English class, our grade was asked to produce some form of media using the words of Witi Ihimura, the author of the Whale Rider. The pieces were composited and sent to Witi as a thank you for the words and advice he gave the students of TGS on his visit to the school.

This video tells the story behind the story, the myth behind Witi’s writing. Using a combination of common craft, stop motion and Natalie’s lamp-shade, Witi’s quotes are accompanied by an animation of sorts.

This is the story of Rikuzentakata, a small town in the north of Japan that was completely devastated by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. In 2013, four THINK Global School students, accompanied by two teachers, visited the region.

“For a city that had lost close to everything, we couldn’t help but to be amazed by the hope exemplified by everyone we talked to. They welcomed us into their lives, told us their most personal stories, and always ended with a smile. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more hope in one city. And that’s what we wanted this video to capture”

“Our clocks did not tick periodically in Tanzania. Everything happened at once, with a whirl of heat and color”
